Going Out Without The Guilt

Do you ever not go out with your besties or on a date because you don’t want to fall into the “ I just consumed the calorie intake of an elephant” hole? I totally hear ya, but you can make dining out a not-so-guilty experience. I will give you all the tools you need to have the best time without having a guilty conscious the next AM, promise!

Always get dressed up, you should feel hot about yourself. When you wear loose leggings and over sized sweaters you don’t mind going in for the second serving of fried calamari. Wear that sexy fitted black dress, and don’t forget the shoes!

I’m so guilty for reading the menu online like 17 times before I actually get to the restaurant. You laugh, but it helps in making irrational decisions…not that making out with your date after dinner is rational.

Read that freaking menu like you just got your hands on your ex-boyfriends iPhone. READ BETWEEN THE LINES LADIES. . Any menu description that uses the words creamy, breaded, crisp, sauced, or stuffed is likely loaded with …crap

NO CARBS (period) ask the waiter to skip the breadbasket. If you really need to munch on something before the apps ask for a plate of raw veggies!

Hey, coming from the vino lover herself by no means am I saying loose the booze. Skip the fancy drinks that are loaded with sugar and opt for a simple martini or glass of wine. Plus isn’t wine made out of grapes… it’s basically a fruit-YOLO.

Water, water, water.. Chug that shiz. It will slow you down and help remind your brain that you’re full!

Veggies are your friend. When available order fresh produce and shy away from creamy dressings and dips. When ordering a salad be sure to have them replace the cheese, croutons and red meats for more veggies and leaner meats (grilled chicken/roasted turkey/grilled shrimp). And do the fork dip, works every time.

Order the fish option! You can order seafood in so many different ways—steamed, baked, broiled, sautéed, blackened, or grilled. NEVER FRIED. Ask for them to simply cook with light olive oil.

If your with your chicas don’t be embarrassed to box half your entrée before it ever gets to the table. Or split something, plus your saving some guap !$!

Skip dessert. A fresh bowl of berries or an espresso is always my go to!
